My daughter has a genuine fear of the dentist and while she was getting a cleaning, about 4 or 5 staff members held my daughter down while she was screaming and thrashing. She was vomiting and choking on her vomit. They were telling her that she needs to quit and that she was being ridiculous. She was bleeding from her mouth, vomiting from being so upset, broke blood vessels in her face, and now is completely traumatized and says that she never wants to go to the dentist again.
Never though I would love to get my teeth clean. Doctor Covington is a very nice person
Their are very child friendly and my 3 little guy just love the Dental Assistants because they really enjoy what they do and treat each child with the utmost kindness and respect . From a parents point of view that means alot because we all know even as adult the worst kind of visit is a dentist visit but the entire staff at the Tyger River Dental Pediatric make a dentist visit not a kids nightmare.
My 7 year old daughter has been going here for 3 years. We love the dr and all of the office staff. The dentist is great with children and remembers us every time we come in. She has spoken with me about her concerns for orthodontic care and recommened aome great orthodontist. All around great people and staff!
She still when we come to Food Lion which is across the street remembers this bad experience My grand daughter had her very first dentist visit here. Two years old. She was hollered at telling her to sit up stop crying and that the way she was reaching for me and all was uncalled for. I am glad it was me and not her parents that was there because they would not have been as calm as I was i was just thinking in my mind that we will never come back here. This in my opinion right now should not be a pediatric dentists or need different type of hygienist
